We help over a million Jews in need each year and could not do so but for the amazing individuals that support The Fellowship. With this in mind, we must ensure an effective communication strategy with our donors, one that will steward them through a personalized and fulfilling experience. As the Donor Retention Fundraising Manager, you will develop these strategies in collaboration with the director and ensure ongoing methods of evaluating the donor journeys across channels.
Some key areas of focus for this role include:
Own the entire donor journey across all channels, develop personalized content strategy to ensure optimal donor engagement from initial contact throughout, in collaboration with the Director and Vice President.
Gain understanding of drivers to donor engagement. Conduct research through donor surveys, focus groups, and internal resources (e.g. donor support team) to obtain feedback on the donor’s experience.
Develop processes for ongoing monitoring and measurement of content effectiveness across our fundraising channels. Ensure processes that impact the donor experience have been established and are functioning with seamless efficacy.
Identify areas that require improved service/engagement levels to improve satisfaction rates.
Analyze trends such as retention, attrition, cancelation, annual giving, and other key performance indicators that will retain donor and increase their lifetime value through average gift and annual giving amounts.
As the ideal candidate, you’ll possess these qualities and experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in direct response fundraising with a focus on donor retention and donor (or customer) relationship management in the non-profit environment. Experience must include a primary focus on direct mail marketing with significant exposure to multi-channel direct marketing as a preference.
Ability to build consensus among teams and vendor partners to move programs forward. Ability to implement stated strategies effectively
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and fast-changing environment. Excellent follow-up skills.
Sound judgement, analytical, and problem solving skills with the ability to devise strategies and recommendations from appropriate data
Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills
Very detail-oriented and strong time management skills
Intermediate level proficiency in Donor Database Software and Microsoft Office recent applications
