What we offer:
The ConnectATX program supports families by connecting them to vital community resources through a multilingual helpline, an online resource tool, and our community-based organization partners. ConnectATX is committed to providing up-to-date information on critical resources and building partnerships with trusted community partners to respond to our community’s needs. In order to ensure we are meeting the goals of the ConnectATX program, a variety of household and referral data is collected and analyzed. This role seeks to ensure that all of this data is of high quality and is used not only for accurate reporting but also for the improvement of implementation and quality. This role will work closely with ConnectATX and Model Community staff and cross-organizationally with ConnectATX partners, funders, and stakeholders to ensure that all members of the team have the information they need to administer the program, and complete reporting, and make data-informed decisions. Additionally, this role will interface with Model Community partners, like Dell Medical School, that evaluate ConnectATX to measure the success of the larger Model Community work. This role will be the primary person responsible for all ConnectATX data but will be supported by and work collaboratively with the United Way Data and Evaluation team to efficiently clean, manage, manipulate, and analyze ConnectATX data using database management tools and/or software systems.; prepare project evaluation summaries and community dashboards, and assist team members in administering the ConnectATX project with measurable outcomes in mind.

You will get to work on these projects and more:

Establish close and regular relationships with the internal ConnectATX Team, as well as all our community partners

Become familiar with the ConnectATX Program and all associated data elements and reporting needs

Become familiar with ConnectATX reporting through findhelp and data dashboarding through Tableau.

Create, maintain, and share meaningful data dashboards and annual reports with ConnectATX staff so they can successfully implement and improve the program in order to ensure equitable access and service delivery to all clients.

Communicate this data and information to internal and external partners, including funders.

Participate in expanding the ConnectATX program.

Participate in a formal evaluation of the ConnectATX program.

What you’ll bring:

_Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.

_Experience working with Excel.

  • _

_At least two years of experience working with large, complex databases and data analysis systems. Salesforce and Tableau experiences are strongly preferred.

_Strictly follows ethical and professional principles for data storage, access, and analysis.

_Experience working with Protected Health Information and HIPAA preferred.

_Detail-oriented, tactical, organized, autonomous, and quick to build rapport with new contacts

Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Strong experience in creating effective, clear charts and visual representations of data results.

Strong experience in preparing written evaluation reports.

An ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment.

A natural curiosity paired with the ability to learn quickly about work that is new to you.

This position is located in Austin, Texas, and reports and reports directly to the Director of Data and Evaluation, Alison Bentley.

United Way for Greater Austin continues to work predominantly remotely and at this time, this position is fully remote. However, United Way reserves the right to shift this position to on-site, in-person work when appropriate and when Austin Public Health and CDC guidelines indicate it can be done safely.

Key Accountabilities
Key accountabilities are likely to shift over time. Some areas will require more concentrated time in the initial stages as the person in this role develops the systems/processes.

Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting (80%)

  • Maintain a monthly dashboard and hold meetings with ConnectATX staff to go over and discuss the data.

Provide data for funder requests, applications, and reports as needed

Create dashboards as needed to help program staff improve program delivery.

Create quarterly dashboards & reports for ConnectATX closed-loop partners

Relationship Management and Internal Alignment (15%)

  • Meeting management, including pre/post-meeting communications with relevant team members.

Tracking progress on projects.

Follow up with team members to understand challenges, barriers, hesitations, etc.

Sharing data analysis with internal and external partners to inform next steps

Participate in relevant ConnectATX meetings and activities.

Work with the rest of the Data and Evaluation team on reports and data analyses.

Other Duties as Assigned (5%)

  • Support United Way’s collective efforts to fight poverty in Central Texas

Participate in appropriate organizational meetings and events.
