Vice President, Brand and Marketing

Why United Way

Since 1925, Valley of the Sun United Way (VSUW) has unified diverse partners, donors, businesses, nonprofits, government, and faith-based communities to build a stronger Valley for us all. United Way belongs to our community, so we seek community input on the most pressing issues, then we bring people, organizations and companies together to proactively solve them. Right now, many people seek trustworthy insights and information AND they want to help, but they don’t know how. United Way makes it simple for people and organizations to be part of the solution; to come together to take action.

What is Mighty Change 2026?

Mighty Change 2026 is the 5-year plan announced by United Way in the spring of 2021 and is built on a year-long community informed process. The focus is on aligning United Way and community resources to achieve a set of existing bold community goals in the areas of health, homelessness/housing, education and workforce development. Along with others, United Way will close opportunity gaps to ensure children read at grade level by 3rd grade, youth are prepared for educational success and employment, remove barriers to ensure everyone in our community is healthy with a focus on access to food and health care, ensure all can have a safe home to call their own, and open pathways to better paying jobs.
