We currently have openings for full and part time school-based Mental Health Professionals I and II in our Youth Behavioral Health Program. Primary responsibilities include providing supportive counseling, individual intervention, parent/family intervention and crisis intervention for school aged children with mental health and/or behavioral health issues. Additional duties include collecting data for the initial assessment; conducting face-to-face interviews with the recipient and their family, which shall include school and home visits; providing crises intervention support as needed; and ensuring all records are accurately maintained and all invoicing is submitted in a timely manner. Minimum requirements for a Mental Health Professional I include a bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field. Minimum requirements for a Mental Health Professional II include a master’s degree in counseling or a related field, and full licensure in the State of Louisiana, or individuals in supervision for their license.
