Baruch College, one of the region’s and nation’s leading public institutions, has a long and distinguished history dating back over 150 years to the founding of the Free Academy, the nation’s first institution of free public higher education.

With over 140,000 alumni largely concentrated in the New York metropolitan region, Baruch has a successful track record of fundraising, which it hopes to expand. In 2013, Baruch completed a campaign, raising $156 million against a $150 million goal and in 2017 the College completed a scholarship campaign, raising $21 million against a $15 million goal. In 2016, Baruch received a $30 million gift, the largest in its history, to name the School of Public and International Affairs.

Reporting to the Vice President for College Advancement, this position will work closely with the Baruch College Fund (BCF) board of trustees and the senior leadership of the College, including the President. The Assistant Vice President will take a leadership role in strategically developing and managing the cultivation and solicitation of a portfolio of donors and prospects, including a sizable number of high six figure and seven figure potential individuals. In addition, the Assistant Vice President leads and oversees the day-to-day management strategy and operations of a development team of approximately 10 professionals. Direct reports include two gift officers; the Director of Leadership Giving, who overseas the annual fund and the 17 Lex Society, our $1,000+ recognition group; the Director of Donor Relations and Special Events; the Director of Prospect Research; the Chief Foundation Relations Officer; and, in conjunction with the Vice President, a consulting team who oversees planned giving.
