Location: Kanab, Utah

The position is responsible for supporting revenue and data entry to four fundraising areas: Foundations, Employee Giving, Matching Gifts, and Corporate Engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Revenue and Data Entry:

  • Process gifts (cash) and grants secured by or designated to the Foundations, Corporate Engagement areas, Matching Gifts and Employee Giving

  • Ensure donor and partner data is entered correctly and updated as needed, including relevant coding for each area-specific process.

  • Receive, record, and sort donations sent to the Sanctuary.

  • Reconcile wired in donations via bank statements weekly and completed for End of Month reconciliation for closing on time. (3rd business day of the following month)

  • Special Handling of Government funds (CFC) with proper attribution and solicit code restrictions to be in compliance with agreements with the entity donating.

  • Ensure timely gift acknowledgment process is in place and working smoothly throughout the fiscal year.

  • Ensure completion of and manage acknowledgement process including thank you emails to 3rd party administered campaign donors (Including TisBest and Thrivent). Tracking mailings as appropriate in HERO

  • Support pledge posting and revenue attribution for corporate partners.

  • Maintain documented processes and procedures for revenue functions and ensure accuracy of all posted information.

  • Responsible for creating and managing all back-end workplace and matching gift entry and tracking systems. Strategically design workflow systems and improvements to ensure streamlined, efficient, and accurate workplace giving campaign data management.

  • Maintain login information for workplace/matching giving sites.

  • Ensures BFAS policies, procedures, and best practices are followed

Support of Fundraising Teams:

  • Support front-line fundraisers in maintaining accurate donor, prospect management, and revenue records in Blackbaud CRM (HERO).

  • Develop and maintain positive relations with all staff, divisions, and consultants. Serve in a highly collaborative and supportive role to accomplish key projects through teamwork.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years previous administrative/coordinator experience is preferred.

  • 2 or more years with data entry and database experience is required.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Development environment is strongly preferred.

  • College degree or two years college/administrative school preferred.

  • Financial reconciliation experience (preferably in a nonprofit setting) and familiarity with general accounting principles is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and time management skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal/external customers, donors, volunteers, and Board Members with tact and diplomacy.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to work on multiple competing tasks and demands.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and OneDrive, GoToMeeting and Blackbaud Systems.

  • Comfortable learning new software programs and using online information systems.

  • Flexibility and enjoyment of a variety of people and tasks and ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

  • Self-motivated and ability to apply effective independent judgment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

  • Work at a computer for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, arm and hand motion.
